We Sing, We Drum, We Play!
Sistema Kingston’s year end concert features students in grades 2-7 in a joyful musical celebration.
Join us for an enchanting evening of music and community spirit at the Isabel Bader Centre on May 9th, as Sistema Kingston hosts “We Sing, We Dance, We Play.” This annual fundraising event, expertly hosted by Kingston’s own Liam Karry, will showcase a diverse musical program featuring Nahuatl songs, a Ukrainian folk melody, and “O Siem” by Susan Aglukark. Audiences will be treated to performances from talented students in choir, drumming, strings, and xylophone ensembles, including a new arrangement of the Sistema Kingston classic “D String Boogie.” The concert will also premiere a string work commissioned by Sistema Canada from Kathryn Patricia Cobbler. Admission is by donation, supporting Sistema Kingston’s mission to inspire and educate through music. This special night is made possible by The Isabel and Ballytobin Foundation, among other generous community supporters. Don’t miss this celebration of young talent and the joy of music!
