Threshold Theatre Presents ABD with Mark the C at Kingston Fringe
Threshold Theatre is thrilled to present “ABD with Mark the C” at the Kingston Fringe Festival! Wondering what ABD stands for? Get ready to discover the show everyone will be talking about: Allistonian Brockvillian Dionysian! Set predominantly in a hotel in Alliston and a motel in Brockville during the 1960s and 70s, ABD with Mark the C delves into the funny, sad, ordinary, and extraordinary characters and events in Simcoe County’s potato country and on the shores of the St. Lawrence River. This play is a heartfelt celebration of our innate desires for connection, communion, and escape.
You’ll laugh, you’ll cry, and you’ll dance! This show is for anyone who grew up in Alliston or Brockville, those who didn’t, anyone who has been part of an unusual family business, anyone with a life soundtrack, and those who wrestle with the fleeting nature of life. Written and performed by Threshold’s co-artistic director Mark Cassidy (known for Kafka and Son, As I Lay Dying, Howl) and directed by Hume Baugh (Child Hood, Therac 25, All’s Well that Ends Well), this performance promises to be an unforgettable experience.
