Divine Interventions

Experience the magic of Divine Interventions, a captivating processional performance presented by the Centre culturel Frontenac and the Kingston Theatre Alliance as part of the 2024 Kick & Push Festival. Produced by CORPUS, this unique show takes you on a 1.5 km journey through downtown Kingston, starting at the Kingston Grand Theatre and ending at Kingston City Hall. This immersive performance is unlike any traditional theatre experience, offering a blend of music, dance, and storytelling that will leave you enchanted.

Four goddesses descend from the heavens to tour the streets of Kingston, responding to the world’s call for their divine intervention. Through a suite of new songs by Dora-winning composer Anika Johnson, these celestial beings offer blessings, prayers, guidance, and even the occasional rebuke. Featuring a diverse cast of powerhouse female performers, including Barbara Fulton, TrudyLee Gayle, Barbara Johnston, Tracy Michailidis, and Michelle Yu, Divine Interventions promises a sincere and magical experience. With choreography by Bonnie Kim and Matthew O’Connor and costume design by Carolin Lindner, this performance is a visual and auditory feast.
