Easter Tea with Chestmates – A Heartfelt Community Gathering

Join us this Easter weekend for a heartwarming community event hosted by the Kingston Chestmates Dragon Boat Team, a group of breast cancer survivors who paddle with purpose—for strength, for remembrance, and for one another.
On Saturday, April 19, 2025, from 11:30 AM to 1:00 PM, the Chestmates welcome friends, families, and neighbours to an elegant Easter Tea and Bake Sale held in the warm and welcoming space of St. Thomas Anglican Church Basement, located at 130 Lakeview Avenue, Kingston.
This special afternoon is more than tea and treats—it’s a celebration of resilience, togetherness, and community compassion. The event serves as a fundraiser to support the Chestmates’ goal of representing Kingston and Canada in an international competition in France in 2026.

Tickets are $25 per person, payable by cash or e-transfer to donations@bcakingston.ca (use subject line: High-Tea). All proceeds go directly toward helping the Chestmates reach their fundraising goal.

The Chestmates Dragon Boat Team is made up of courageous women—breast cancer survivors who have found not only healing and hope through paddling, but a powerful sense of sisterhood. Their motto is simple and profound: We paddle for ourselves, for each other, and for the sisters we have lost.

This event is a chance to honour those still fighting, to remember those we’ve lost, and to stand in solidarity with all who have been touched by breast cancer. Your support makes a difference—not just in helping the team get to France, but in lifting spirits and building community.
