Written by Tim Firth and based on the movie which shares the same name, Calendar Girls is the story of Annie.
Annies husband has passed away, and she teams up with her friend to create an alternative calendar which involves members of the Women’s Institute to pose nude.
This is actually based on a true story, which was when 11 women, part of the Womens Institute, made a nude calendar while raising money for the Leukemia Research Fund.
It’s an epic story, and one that should not be missed. This version is directed by Moira Davies and is every Thursday, Friday and Saturday at the Domino Theatre. $20 for tickets.
