The AKA Autonomous Social Centre is the place to be for the book launch of Lumpen, which is the autobiography of Ed Mead.
Ed Mead, the former political prisioner, urban guerrilla and revolutionary inside prison organizer takes readers through a journey of Americas Underbelly, Covering the likes of Iowa, Compton, Venice Beach and Fairbanks Alaska and the Americans that are just trying to make ends meet and get by.
It all begins with the teenage Ed Mead, who ends up in Utah State Industrial School, a boys prison.
The book launch event begins at 7pm on November 17th. It’s wheelchair accessible and is free.
