The House of Martin Guerre is an award winning musical and is being presented by Queen’s University School of Drama and Music.
The inspiration for the story is Martin Guere and his wife, who were involved in a famous court case from 16th Century france. After being married for 8 years, Martin Guerre leaves his wife and disappears. 8 more years pass and then a man comes to the village who claims he is Martin – but others believe he is an imposter.
It plays at the Theological Hall in the Rotunda Theatre. It’s $15 for students and seniors, $22 for general admission.
8pm showings are November 5-7 and November 11-14, and 2pm showings are November 8, 14th and 15th.
