With the arrival of Elsa, a spirited teacher and ally, Miss Helen finds a confidante who champions her freedom and self-expression.

Based on the life of Helen Martins, the real-life creator of South Africa’s famous Owl House, The Road to Mecca dives into themes of artistic freedom, societal oppression, and the enduring search for identity.
