Limestone Race Weekend 2025 in Kingston

Get ready to lace up your running shoes and hit the pavement for one of Kingston’s most iconic athletic traditions — the Limestone Race Weekend, presented by the Kingston Road Runners Association (KRRA)! Taking place Saturday, April 26 and Sunday, April 27, 2025, this all-volunteer, community-driven event is the largest annual running festival in Kingston and a highlight for runners across Ontario and beyond.

Whether you’re a seasoned marathoner or a family looking for a fun weekend activity, there’s a race for everyone. Choose from the 5K, the 10K Waterfront Race, the Historic Half Marathon, or the Tom Compton Memorial 2K for kids. Each race starts in the heart of Kingston’s historic downtown, offering runners scenic views along the waterfront and through the city.
The weekend kicks off on Saturday, April 26, with the Tom Compton 2K Kids Run at 2:00 p.m., followed by the Waterfront 10K at 5:00 p.m., both starting at MacDonald Park. On Sunday, April 27, the Historic Half Marathon starts at 9:30 a.m. and the 5K at 10:00 a.m., both beginning at Confederation Park.

Race kit pickup is available at Runners’ Choice (56 Brock St.) on Friday, April 25 from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m., as well as at the starting locations on race days. Please note: there will be no race-day registrations.

Competitive runners can look forward to cash prizes, age-category awards, and the chance to break the course record for a $500 bonus in the Half Marathon. Pacers sponsored by Runners’ Choice will be available for all major distances, helping participants achieve their personal bests.

More than just a race, the Limestone Race Weekend supports local charities including the Boys and Girls Club South East and Start2Finish Running and Reading Program. Your participation helps foster community wellness and youth development in Kingston.
