Preserve Chalmers Historic Windows Fundraising Event
Step into the luminous world of history and art at the Preserve Chalmers Historic Windows fundraising event. This multimedia presentation is set to take place on Monday, June 10th, at Chalmers United Church. As you arrive, you will be greeted by the enchanting sounds of Aurora Dokken playing the organ in the sanctuary, illuminated by its magnificent 135-year-old stained-glass windows, each telling its own unique story. Noted local author and architectural historian Jennifer McKendry will provide an introductory presentation, setting the scene and highlighting the historical significance of these beautiful windows. Tickets are $20 and can be purchased on Eventbrite, at Brian’s Record Option (cash only), or at the door.
Join us for an evening celebrating art, history, and community spirit at Chalmers United Church. This is a wonderful opportunity to not only enjoy a night of culture and music but also contribute to the preservation of a significant piece of Kingston’s heritage. Bring your friends and family and be part of this unforgettable celebration. Together, we can help preserve our stained-glass legacy for future generations to admire and enjoy.
