Salsa in the Square Free Classes

Spice up your summer with Free Salsa Classes at Kingston Springer Market Square! Starting July 9th and running through August 27th, join us every Tuesday evening to learn how to connect with the music, the rhythm, and navigate the dance floor. Our talented instructors will guide you through the fundamental techniques, footwork, and partner work that define the energetic salsa style.

The classes kick off with a lively line dance session from 6:30 pm to 7:15 pm, perfect for beginners and seasoned pros alike. From 7:15 pm to 7:30 pm, transition to partner dancing and let the music move you. Whether you’re a seasoned dancer or a complete beginner, these classes are open to everyone who wants to learn, have fun, and immerse themselves in the world of Latin dance.

Dancing is not only fun but also beneficial for your body and brain. You’ll learn salsa, the most popular partner dance in the world, originated in Cuba in the 1920s. Salsa dancing means you’ll always have something to do wherever you go. You’ll also get a taste of Bachata, a beautiful and sensual dance from the Dominican Republic, and Kizomba from Angola, known for its slow, rhythmic movements and close connection between partners.
