Kick off 2024 with an evening of dazzling Baroque brilliance as the Kingston Baroque Consort (KBC) presents “Viva Vivaldi!” on Friday, January 17, 2024, at 5:15 PM at St. James Church (10 Union St, Kingston). This vivacious performance celebrates the genius of Antonio Vivaldi, featuring exquisite works for strings and winds, with the spotlight on the Concerto in B Minor (RV580) for 4 violins, cello, strings, and continuo.
Joining the Consort is special guest artist Shanti Nachtergaele, a renowned bassist from Montreal, whose expertise in historically informed performances has graced ensembles such as the Tafelmusik Baroque Orchestra and Les Méandres. Prepare to be captivated by the virtuosic interplay and vibrant textures of Baroque music brought to life by KBC’s extraordinary musicians.
