MFRC is excited to invite you to our first ever Connect-A-Thon at the Kingston Military Family Resource Centre (KMFRC) on June 24th. This dynamic event is a fantastic opportunity for the entire CFB Kingston community to come together outdoors at the KMFRC from 11am to 3pm. There will be plenty of ‘Fun in the Sun’ activities such as tug of war, bocce ball, a magic show by Rob Driscoll, Hula Hoop performance and lessons courtesy of Kingston Circus Arts, colouring activities, and face painting by Not So Amateur. We encourage you to bring along your lawn chairs or blankets to relax on the grass, and don’t forget your little ones’ bathing suits for our splash pad! Plus, plastic shovels will be a handy addition for children wanting to explore our playground. Arrowhead Beach rentals will also be available that day, thanks to Personnel Support Program Kingston (PSP).
Our ‘Community Corner’ is designed to provide you with crucial information to help navigate your military journey in Kingston. Several community partners, including local school boards and Service Ontario, will be there to provide on-site information. And rest assured, no one will go hungry; we have arranged for a free BBQ with food and drinks, accompanied by live entertainment to set a lively atmosphere.
This Connect-A-Thon is about more than just activities and information; it’s a chance for families to connect with friends, neighbours, and the broader community in a fun and relaxed environment. We hope you will join us for this enriching day filled with laughter, learning, and above all, community spirit. We look forward to welcoming you! Please help by registering so we know an estimated count for the event.
